Oslo SaunaThe cube outdoor sauna — architectural minimalism
Clean geometric lines, a panoramic glass door and more usable interior space. The Oslo Sauna is for people who want the wellness building to be part of the architecture, not something tucked away in a corner.

What is the Oslo Sauna?
The Oslo Sauna is a cube outdoor sauna in a contemporary idiom. Straight lines and a panoramic glass door give it the look of small architecture rather than an outbuilding — which is why it is the common choice alongside modern houses.
The cube form means more usable space than a barrel at the same external footprint, and a full view out while you sit inside. The roof pitch handles drainage without visible guttering.

Spruce or alder — you choose the character

With the cube form, alder gives the cleanest modern result — but the choice is yours and you make it when ordering. Both go through the same thermal treatment.
The Oslo Sauna in practice
On a cube every joint is visible, so there is nowhere for approximate work to hide. Flat planes and glass demand a precision you notice immediately.

Not every cube sauna is the same
On flat planes every imprecision shows, and around glass you also feel it — as heat loss. Which is why the gap between hand-built and flat-pack is nowhere more obvious than on a cube.
AURATHERM Oslo Sauna
Typical flat-pack kits
Cube saunas with panoramic glass sell abroad from 7,000 EUR upwards. Flat-pack kits start lower, but in untreated timber, with weaker glass, no delivery and no Harvia heater. The AURATHERM Oslo Sauna arrives complete and installed at your address.

A sauna that earns its keep
Owners of cabins and apartments who rent them out see a direct lift in income after installing a sauna. Here is exactly why.
Raises property value
A cabin with a sauna commands a noticeably higher price on sale or rent. Buyers and guests recognise the premium immediately.
Higher rental income
Accommodation with a sauna can charge 30–50% more per night. Guests actively search for this feature.
It photographs well
Panoramic glass and straight lines look good in listing photos. A cube sauna is the shot guests share themselves.
A feature few have
On Booking and Airbnb, properties with a sauna collect more reviews and rank better in search. It is a filter your listing passes and the competition does not.
Minimal upkeep
Thermally treated timber needs no coating and no special care. We still suggest a wood stain for appearance.
A year-round draw
Unlike a pool that only works in summer, a sauna is used all year — including summer. It extends your season at no extra cost.
More than relaxation
Scandinavians treat the sauna as a health routine, not just a comfort. The science confirms what Nordic societies knew for centuries.
Cardiovascular activity
Time in a sauna raises your heart rate about as much as light exercise. Blood vessels widen and circulation improves.
Immune support
High temperature stimulates white blood cell production. Regular sauna users report a stronger immune response through the year.
Deep sweating
Sweating is one of the most effective natural routes for clearing the body. A sauna produces deep sweating that everyday activity cannot.
Looser muscles and joints
Heat relaxes tense muscles deeply and reduces joint inflammation. Particularly useful after physical work or for chronic pain.
Less stress
A sauna lowers cortisol and encourages endorphin release. Regular users report better sleep and less anxiety.
Deeper sleep
The drop in body temperature after a sauna signals the body that it is time to rest. Studies show sauna users fall asleep faster and get better REM sleep.
Frequently Asked Questions
What you need to know about the Oslo Sauna, ordering and delivery.
Still have questions? Get in touch →We use 8 mm tempered glass with precise sealing. The loss is measurable, which is exactly why larger glazed areas come with a stronger heater — the configurator raises the kW automatically as you add glass.
The cube has more volume and more glazed area at the same size, so heat-up is 35 to 50 minutes rather than 30 to 45. In practice the difference is small, since you switch the sauna on ahead of time anyway.
Three standard sizes — for 2, 4 and 6 people. On the six-person model the control panel is mandatory, because above 9 kW there is no heater with built-in controls.
It needs a level, load-bearing base — a concrete slab, paving or well-compacted gravel. On a cube, how level the base is matters more than on a barrel, because any deviation shows at the joints.
Yes. Bronze and clear glass cost the same and you choose when ordering. Bronze gives more privacy, clear gives a better view.
The standard lead time is four to six weeks from order confirmation. Custom dimensions can take a little longer, which we agree upfront.
Thermally treated timber needs no coating to stay durable. We recommend a wood stain purely for appearance — untreated, the wood silvers over time.
